Winners of the competition of the year 2008 for educational grants of Yerzhan Tatishev Foundation for obtaining bachelor degree in finance, economics and banking

ALIKHAN BAKHTYBAYEV

Alikhan is from Taraz city. Graduated from gymnasium with excellence. He is a multiskilled person – learns Pharsi, knows English, plays tennis, basketball. Alikhan writes songs and poems, sings and plays guitar, along with others have started school ensemble “Heat of Desert” («Зной пустыни»). He works on the problem of “clean” technologies, participated and won a prize, having made a work on topic “Usage of vegetable oil as a fuel”.
Alikhan is a helpful and kind person, a good friend. When his classmate Kyrill Tsvetkov became an orphan, Alikhan organized help for him.
During second round of selection, his leadership qualities were noted but all experts and participants of the round.

YERNAR DZHEKPELDINOV

Yernar is from Almaty city. He is a sportsman, likes reading, has good public speaking skills. According to experts’ assessment, he showed himself as an active participant and leader, strong member of the team. In the team he was more a second leader, on the background of the main one. Nevertheless, he is able to manage the group, make decisions and persuade others that his point of view is right. Members of the team gave him good rating. Yernar’s teachers describe him as an open, honest and modest person.

KONSRANTIN KRAVCHENKO

Konstantin is from Petropavl city. Graduated from gymnasium with “Altyn Belgi” mark. Lives with his father, in 2002 lost mother.
As Konstantin wrote in his essay, he got used to achieving everything by himself. He has an active position in life, is fond of journalism, took part in youth festivals, in TV program “Leader of 21 century” («Лидер 21 века»).
During second round of selection, he showed high intellectual potential and erudition, communicability, ability to make decisions in difficult situations. Actively participated in all competitions. Konstantin was noted not only by experts, but also by the participants of the second round.

IRINA MIKHALCHENKO

Irina lives in Almaty city. Graduated from gymnasium #60 with “Altyn Belgi” mark. She is a goal-oriented and organized person. With her work and persistence she achieved a lot. At the age of 15 she won the competition and studied in USA within the framework of exchange program “FLEX”. Irina plays piano perfectly, graduated from musical school with excellence, likes to dance. She is a good organizer and a leader.
Among her characteristics, experts noted that not only qualities of a good leader – ability to lead, are typical for Irina, but also preparedness to help the weak and encourage the desperate. She is kind, honest and consistent person.

ISLAMBEK ORUMBAYEV

Islambek is from Zhezkazgan city, where he graduated from Kazakh-Trukish lyceum-rest-home for gifted children with “Altyn Belgi” mark. Starting from first grade he studied only with highest grades, took part on Olympiads. Along with his friend won the Republic-wide Olympiad in language studies, with their work “Etymology of proverbs and sayings in Kazakh, Russian ad English languages”.
According to evaluation by the experts, Islambek is able to foresee the situation, make logical decisions; his friendliness and teamwork skills were also noted by the others.
