Projects from regions of the country, especially rural, were given special attention by the members of Board of Trustees of the Foundation on the session held February 29th, 2008. On this session applications, received from November 2007 till February 2008, were considered. The following were approved:

• PA “Rural women’s network of Almaty”, project “Improvement of level of life of vulnerable groups of population”

Project includes educating of rural women from low-income groups model of work “Self-help group”, and, after the education, providing access to microcredits. Methodics of “Self-help Groups” has been used for 5-6 years and shows good results. According to estimations of applicants results of this project will allow to improve economic status of rural women.

• PA “Asyl”, project “Necessary conditions for social adaptation of disabled people”.

Within the framework of the program passenger automobile will be purchased for carrying disabled children to PA “Asyl”, where special group and individual activities will be organized for them. Children want to participate in various activities, groups of psychological rehabilitation, but because of absence of specialized transport, it is difficult for parents to take them to the place everyday (mostly because of absence of money).

• Social ecologic PA “Soliaris”, project “Anestesiological help in curing choric pain”.

Project includes introduction of new methods of anaesthetization for seriously ill people, and the effect of anaesthetization lasts longer than when using other methods. Necessary equipment will be bought. The project will be realized on the basis of hospis, belonging to PA “Soliaris”.
